Treasure Box was established over 40 years ago as part of the churches commitment to serving the local community. We are now at the point where we are seeing adults who attended the nursery returning with their children! We always appreciate the trust placed in us and feel in a privileged position to support and build relationships with the families who join us.
Our name, Treasure Box, was chosen for two reasons. Firstly, your child is your treasure and we will endeavour to love and care for him or her as such. Secondly, we believe that we impart treasure to your child through our standard of care and our commitment to their well-being, which we hope will impact their future lives.
We provide a high quality curriculum, which builds on what your child already knows and extends their interests and fascinations, encouraging them to be inquisitive, independent, engaged learners. We also follow the changing seasons and celebrations throughout the year. We have weekly Forest School activities to support this and a music and sensory session, ‘Songbirds’ as well as some adult led activities. We supply open ended, versatile resources, providing an enabling environment, allowing free flow, play indoors and outdoors. Parents are invited in for a termly ‘Stay and Play’ session, so you see first hand what goes on in the nursery.
We have a qualified, experienced team who support and extend the children’s progress and development building strong relationships with the children and their families. Above all we have lots of fun and recognise that all of us, even as adults, are more open to learn when we are in a relaxed, stimulating environment that follows our interests!
We are open in term time, for morning or afternoon sessions as well as full days. We take children into nursery from the term following their second birthday, or later if preferred. We are able to accommodate two year funded children, as well as universal 15 hour funding and 30 hour extended funding, as well as fee paying places.
If you would like further information or arrange a visit to look around the nursery and discuss a place for your child please contact us.
